The chat room experience with my peers
The chat room is new a popular internet instrument for communication in all worlds. People can use the chat room to share or show their feelings and motions. It is an easy way to talk your friends or make new friend. In other hand you don’t spend a lot of money to pay telephone bill. It is the most convenient to people. Everyone can do anything during chat room at same time. Such as do your homework or go to internet for recreation etc. the chat room is good way to chat anything with your friends or classmates.
I have a funny experience about the chat room. In the English internet class, our teacher Emma asked us “Do you have an experience of English chatting with your classmates or friends? And then she said if you never use chat room maybe you can try to do this. The teacher gave me an activity about the chat room with you group members. This was my first time to chat in English with my classmates. By the way it was very nervous and excitable to me. I type very slowly. I am very poor in typing. At first, we used MSN Massager to chat .Everyone joined into the same chat room and invited our members to chat together. And we started our conversation in English. We chatted about thirty minutes. We talked about our homework. We had many homeworks and presentations during next week. Everyone said feelings about our homeworks and presentations. We felt very tired. Then we talked about music James Blunt’s song “No braver “.and the movie “Happy feet”. My classmate said the song and the movie was good. And everyone was crazy and said anything by self. Finally, we finished our funny conversation. We copied and pasted it on our blog.
Finally, It is an interesting experience to me because is my first time to chat with my classmates online in English. I think it is a good for practicing English and typing in real time that when everyone is online and talking at the same time as you. I think people are like the chat room very much. People can express their feelings with those lovely emoticons; discuss homework, and send files and pictures etc. I think it can improve your English typing and English conversation skills.
My blog and blogging experience
The English internet class is different course then other course. It not only use textbook but also use computer with internet to teach students English. In this semester I learn about information about internet, computer, and blog. Especially, our teacher taught me how to set blog.
I never use blog so I don’t know how to set blog by myself before. And I never use English publish before. The setting blog in English is very hard to me. There are many difficult words. In other hand our teacher told me what Hot potato is? I never heard it. You can use it to design a series of English texts. For example, cloze text. I think that is interesting, and it is useful to learn or practice English. The multimedia became more popular. The multimedia is any computer application that integrates text, graphics, animation, video, audio or methods of communication. The multimedia is useful to me. Finally, I learn a lot of informations technology from this class. In my future, I can use the information technology to set an interesting and fascinating blog or website.
My blog name is windshouse. There have many activities. There have two activities help me to learn English. First one is ELS/EFL Resources. There are five resources. I recommend the ESL Gold. The ESL Gold offers hundreds of pages of resources on listening, speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary, pronunciation, idioms, TOEFL prep, and more all categorized by skill level. (http://www.eslgold.com/). I like this web very much and it is very useful to me. It has a lot of English skills and TOEFL/TOEIC test to attract me. The some keyword are difficult to me And other one is hot potato. It is a good tool of software. People can easy to use it design a test by self, and also can practice or teat English The Hot Potatoes suite includes six applications, enabling you to create interactive multiple-choice, short-answer, jumbled-sentence, crossword, matching/ordering and gap-fill exercises. I can use it to design and test by myself. New I can do JCross and JCloze. The Hot potato is helpful tool to learn English. The two activities can promote my English skills.
Finally, I think that I need to practice and practice my English writing skill. My English writing skill is too poor, but it is a good experience to practice describing my blog. I am very happy and I can learn a lot of information about computer technology form teacher in this semester. Thanks teacher
